The NELUNE Foundation has embarked upon its most significant project to date with the establishment in 2012 of THE NELUNE CENTRE, a world-class centre of excellence in cancer care in Sydney.
Providing hope and dignity, THE NELUNE CENTRE will be located on the ground floor of the new $100 million Kinghorn Cancer Centre, a joint initiative between the Garvan Institute of Medical Research and St Vincent’s & Mater Health Sydney.
Currently under construction and occupying the ground floor of this new facility is THE NELUNE CENTRE which will provide fully integrated care to cancer patients, regardless of their personal or financial circumstances.
Patients from all over New South Wales will be referred to the Centre upon diagnosis and will have access to world-class multi-disciplinary services including Oncologists, Clinical Psychologists, Researchers, Cancer Care Co-ordination, chemotherapy treatments in outdoor garden surrounds, transportation and other patient support services.
The NELUNE Foundation exists with the support and energy of likeminded friends and organisations and the money raised each year is due to their generosity and commitment. The Foundation’s current goal is to raise $2.5million over the next year to complete the establishment of THE NELUNE CENTRE.
